Ginger is a lifted shade, which means the hair has been through more processing than a natural black. It needs more moisture, not less. Colour-safe sulfate-free shampoo only, cool water, deep condition every two weeks, low heat.
Bright shades fade fastest in direct sun — a 4am-to-11am beach fete is five hours of it. A UV protectant spray will keep the tone true for far longer.
